Types of metal coatings

Metal coatings come in many forms, but usually fall into one of these categories:

Protective and anti-corrosion coatings
These coatings are the basis of any durable finish. They protect metal surfaces against oxidation, moisture, salts and chemicals. Depending on the environment (C1 to C5), we select the appropriate system – often built up in multiple layers with epoxy as the primer and PU as the topcoat.
Functional coatings
Sometimes a coating has to do more than protect. Think anti-slip layers, heat-resistant paints or chemically resistant coatings. We select (or formulate) the right coating for your specific loads and requirements.

Two-component acrylic coating with aliphatic isocyanate hardener.

High-gloss, two-component polyurethane topcoat with fast curing, allowing quick assembly after application.

ALL META PRIM

A single-component, fast-drying anticorrosive primer pigmented with zinc phosphate.

Applications across all sectors

Metal coatings are used in sectors such as agriculture, machine building, transport, industrial construction and metal constructions. We supply the right paint for your way of working, whether on the workshop floor or directly on site.

Surface preparation is essential: aluminium and metallised substrates require a specific primer. We also consider sanding and blasting techniques, degreasing and any welds – to prevent flaking or poor adhesion.
